Student networking forum brings young people and Union experts together

The student networking forum was held at the 47th Union World Conference on Lung Health yesterday.

This event provides excellent networking opportunities for young people and more than 15 students took the opportunity to meet Union experts in an informal setting.

Student participants included Ndidi Obihara, a 22-year-old student from The Netherlands who is attending her first Union World Conference after a colleague suggested that she submit her research on childhood TB.

Another 31-year old student from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine said of the event:

Joining The Union as a student member is an excellent way to build a strong network. The student member category encourages the participation of young professionals from a wide variety of public health fields. Anyone under 35 and in training qualifies for this category, which offers all the benefits of individual online membership . Learn more and join The Union now.
